OFFENDERS

Long Term and Dangerous Offenders are persons subject to the most restrictive and severe sentences in our society.  Long Term Offenders are subject to strict conditions including drug testing, residence conditions, and aggressive monitoring conditions.  Usually a Long Term Supervision Order lasts the maximum ten year term.  

Dangerous Offenders are persons who are subject to ‘indeterminate’ sentences, where they are permitted to apply for parole, but parole is rarely granted.  The Dangerous Offender designation is a rare designation, a label imposed as part of a sentence.  

Long Term Offender and Dangerous Offender hearings are complex, lengthy proceedings involving expert evidence, including evidence from psychiatrists and psychologists.  Misha has experience representing accused persons at all stages of Long Term Offender and Dangerous Offender hearings.
